The tension stems primarily from MC Kats’ involvement in organizing the Mowzey Radio Tribute events and his role as a self-appointed “protector” of Radio’s legacy and family. Here is the breakdown of why the “attack” happened:

The core of the issue involves the proceeds from Mowzey Radio’s music catalog. MC Kats has publicly claimed that Lillian Mbabazi (who has children with the late Radio) and the children are not receiving their fair share of royalties. Weasel, who continues to perform as the surviving half of the Goodlyfe Crew, took this as a personal attack on his integrity and his management of the brand.

Weasel has expressed frustration with MC Kats for what he perceives as “meddling” in family matters. During recent outbursts, Weasel suggested that Kats is using Lillian’s name to trend or to make the Goodlyfe camp look bad. He has essentially told Kats to back off and focus on his own brand rather than acting as a spokesperson for Lillian.

Lillian Mbabazi has generally tried to keep a dignified distance from the public shouting matches. However, the friction put her in a difficult spot:

  • With Weasel: He is her “brother-in-law” and former collaborator.

  • With MC Kats: He is a long-time friend and industry gatekeeper who claims to be fighting for her rights.
