Before the 2021 presidential elections, Ibrahim Mayanja, also known as Big Eye, was open about his support for the NRM, the ruling party, and President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.
In alongside traveling over the country with the NRM team to campaign, Big Eye used his social media accounts to disparage the opposition party and increase the base of support for the current presiden
Later, his engagement with the NRM caused him issues, particularly with his musical career.
After the elections, when Big Eye appeared, he was assaulted with bottles and other objects and forced to leave the platform.
People’s refusal to listen to him and continual criticism of him, especially on social media, had a negative impact on his star power as well.
Big Eye is now regretting his former actions and now supports Bobi Wine and the NUP, according to his social media posts.
