Karamoja region of Uganda, East Africa, is classified as one of the world’s poorest areas. Nearly half the population is on the brink of starvation due to high food prices caused by the war in previous years. Ugandan musician known as Royal Jeff has come up and stood for the Karamoja residents with supportive measures to uplift their wellbeing and hunger outbreak in their region.
The needy orphans, elderly and widows were given different necessities of life like food, safe drinking water , medication and education support. Royal Jeff has always showed unending love for children and elderly people and has continuously provided charity through his charity organization known as Mityana Child Foundation, a registered charity that is non-government. Karamoja region is known for its direct sunshine that hits the region at higher degrees that no crops can grow in such a dry famine area making it harder for residents to have access to fresh food leading to higher rates of starvation.
Striving to become a country of relative stability and prosperity, and with a burgeoning youth population, Uganda continues to face numerous challenges. This includes its persistent poverty and struggle to adequately invest in the health, education and economic opportunities of its children. Mityana Child Foundation through Royal Jeff have provided hope to the most vulnerable Ugandans as a way to relieve the lost hope in the orphan children who are suffering from malnutrition and lack of education aid.
“In the north, Ugandan children face violence, poverty, scant food and dismal humanitarian conditions.” Royal Jeff stated.
He promised to stand with the little ones and will provide the simple ways he can afford to uplift their lost hope and love.
