This is a massive moment for East African music! Joshua Baraka has officially linked up with Jamaican superstar Shenseea for the remix of his viral hit, “Morocco.”

Following the massive success of the original track (produced by Axon), which has become a staple on playlists and TikTok since its release in late 2025, this collaboration marks Baraka’s continued ascent onto the global stage.

The “Nana” Blueprint: Much like his breakout hit “Nana,” which featured Joeboy, King Promise, and Bien, Baraka is doubling down on the “remix strategy” to bridge the gap between Ugandan vibes and the Caribbean/International market.

Known for her versatility and recent collaborations with artists like Megan Thee Stallion and Kanye West, Shenseea adds a high-energy, dancehall-inflected verse that perfectly complements the smooth, melodic production of the original.

This team-up further cements Baraka as the current face of Ugandan music export, following his debut album Juvie (released in November 2025), which showcased his signature “Afro-Fusion” sound.

The original song is praised for its “laid-back luxury” feel—lyrics about “touching down in Morocco” and “intimate vibes with locals.” Adding a Jamaican powerhouse like Shenseea gives the track a harder, club-ready edge while keeping the dreamy essence that made it a hit.
