According to sources, the House of Prayer Ministries founder was shot while on his way home and he was admitted to Intensive Care at Mulago Hospital.
The motive behind the attack on Pastor Bugingo is not yet known, but other sources confirm that one of the people who was in the car with him succumbed to bullet wounds.
Though, House of Prayer Ministries Lead Pastor Aloysius Bugingo has returned to his home in Namayumba, Wakiso District following a stint in hospital.
Sources close to the vocal pastor confirm that he is out of danger and has since been released to recuperate further from home.
Yesterday, unidentified assailants opened fire on Pastor Bugingo’s vehicle, registered as PRAIZ GOD, along Namungoona, Zone 2 , Kasubi Rubaga Division Kampala at Bwalakata Junction along National Housing Road, before swiftly escaping the scene on a motorcycle.
Despite sustaining injuries during the attack, Pastor Aloysius Bugingo managed to transport the vehicle to Mulago Hospital.
According to police, the pastor’s bodyguard, Richard Muhumuza succumbed to injuries and was confirmed dead upon arrival at the hospital.
The Old Kampala Police are currently conducting a comprehensive investigation into the tragic incident.
