After 15 Years, UB40 is Coming Back to Uganda

In 2008, the highly regarded English reggae band UB40 performed at Uganda’s Lugogo Cricket Oval. It was an overwhelming success, drawing in about 30,000 passionate music fans.

Following a 15-year hiatus, this is UB40’s victorious return to Uganda. At Kampala’s Kololo Independence Grounds on December 21, they are scheduled to perform.

UB40’s news of their comeback has left fans all over Uganda delighted. The band are among the most popular foreign performers to have played in the country, thus their return will undoubtedly be a major event on the social calendar.

Talent Africa is putting on the show, and according to CEO Aly Alibhai, tickets will go on sale on October 25. He urged people to buy their tickets in advance, anticipating a quick sell-out.

When UB40 comes back to Uganda, that night will surely be remembered. The band has gained widespread recognition because to both their iconic reggae anthems and their energetic live performances. Song selections from the fan base will likely include “Red Red Wine,” “Falling in Love with You,” and “Kingston Town.”
