I don’t have a problem with Bobi Wine, says David Lutaalo.

David Lutaalo, a singer, spoke out against hate speech and tribalism during his weekend concert in Mbarara.

Many interpreted this as a direct attack on Bobi Wine because of recent accusations of tribalism from government figures.

But Lutaalo made it obvious that he gets along just fine with the Ugandan opposition. Additionally, he made it clear that he is unable to criticize Bobi Wine because they are both musicians and share a message of harmony.

I had written the song I was playing more than ten years prior. So please know that I have nothing against the opposition in this country. I want each and every one of you to know this. We essentially, in my perspective, teach the same message of unification,” he remarked.

Lutaalo acknowledged that he is not a politician, but he respects them and their positions.
