Bobi Wine claims he was disinvited at the last minute from Busoga royal wedding Bobi Wine stated on Sunday, “As you all saw, I was publicly invited by the Katukiro (Prime Minister) of Busoga, together with my team.
“Because I was abroad, I made arrangements to return home by November 17 at night so that I could attend the wedding. However, I was notified at the last minute that Mr. Museveni, his son, and their security had issued an order preventing me from attending that event.”
“I had purchased a brand-new suit, but I will wear it the next time I visit Busoga because I missed it so much,” he continued.
The opposition leader claims he returned home from his trip overseas especially to attend the historic wedding, but organizers informed him that First Son, Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba, would be present, so he was unable to go.
During the remembrance of the terrible Kampala Riots in November 2020, where over 50 people were shot and killed by security personnel on the city streets, Bobi Wine made the announcement yesterday, Sunday.
Nevertheless, he wished the Bosoga royal family and the community a good marriage and congratulated them on their union.
“I wish to express my congratulations to Mama and the Kyabazinga on that important occasion. We extend our congratulations to the Busoga people and hope that the King and Queen have a happy and prosperous marriage,” he said.
