The media figure and artist manager revealed that he intends to stop emceeing and that he wants to see the next generation take over the business.

NBS TV Presenter Edwin Katamba, often known as MC Kats, had planned to stage a two-day “King of The Mic” event and then retire in December, but he has now scrapped those plans.

He acknowledges that he has contributed to the arts sector and wishes the upcoming artists luck in a business he has worked in for roughly 20 years.
Announcing his intention to devote his entire attention to artist management, MC Kats says he wants to inspire up-and-coming musicians to achieve international success.

In addition, he claimed that the reason he has been in this position for so long is because no one has yet attempted to follow in his footsteps; however, people like TopBoy Emcee have caused him to rethink this.
Kats claims he wants to follow his ambition of becoming the Puff Daddy and Don Jazzy of Uganda.

Once I finish the two-day December event, I will no longer be an emcee and return to my previous position as a music manager at Kats Music. I am also ending the King of the Mic franchise.
I stayed so long mainly because I couldn’t find somebody in whom I could see myself. Indi, I can now see you, bro.
Permit me to stop emceeing this year so I can go back to Fille, Victor Ruz, and sign as many artists as I can to my initial dream of becoming a Puff Daddy and Don Jazzy.
Having completed two days of work, it is now officially December. I have finished emceeing.
