Zulitums and Fik Fameica, two performers from Uganda, will represent the country at Coke Studio.

The collaborative anthem Embrace Your Authentic Self (The Real Magic), written by UK singer-songwriter Cat Burns, Atlanta rapper J.I.D., Grammy winner Camilo, and K-Pop sensation NewJeans, is performed at this year’s Coke Studio, which is back after a two-year hiatus.

Zulitums and Fik Fameica will share the stage with artists from all around the world, including Yung Stunna and Nasty C from South Africa, Mayorkun and Buju from Nigeria, and international giants Sam Smith and Imagine Dragons.

Arthur Akankwasa, the senior franchise manager for Coca-Cola in Uganda, expressed his excitement about interacting with Gen Z and other younger consumers through this intercultural trip.

With an outstanding array of musicians carefully selected for our clients’ amusement, this season “promises to be nothing short of enchanting and inspirational,” he said.

“With a particular focus on the Gen Z demographic, Coca-Cola has an exceptional opportunity to interact with a new generation of consumers during this time frame.” We’re thrilled to offer a unique cross-cultural experience that resonates deeply in a world when everything is at our fingertips, Akankwasa added.

The premier event for the 2018 edition took place on September 21 at the Motiv Warehouse in Kampala’s Industrial Area. The invitation-only event was attended by a large number of music fans and stakeholders, including journalists, producers, musicians, dancers, and artist managers.
