Ugandan musician JLAK, real name Joshua Mukisa, communicates about love in his latest song, “Partner,” while exhibiting his artistic talent and unusual vocals. JLak was born on July 1, 2001, in Kajansi, Wakiso. JLAK is a Ugandan recording artist and singer-songwriter. Since he was a child, he has had a strong interest in music and songwriting.
He then recorded his debut song at a nearby studio in late 2019, but was unable to complete it because to the COVID-19 pandemic. When the lockdown restrictions were lifted in early 2022, he got the opportunity to sign with the Jos Entertainment record label, which promoted local artists in the Luweero District.He made his breakthrough with “Love Fire,” which was quickly followed by “Walya.” As an artist, he is growing and should be on the radar of Uganda’s rising talents.
JLAK works with renowned producer T.O.N, who shows off his beat-making skills. The video was shot and directed by Sasha Vybz.
