Cindy Sanyu Okuyo says Grace Nakimera delivered one of the most powerful performances she has ever witnessed from a native female musician, and that none of the newcomers can compete.
“Karole Kasita is my child, and I don’t compete with kids,” Cindy Sanyu said when asked how she feels about Karole Kasita at a press conference in Kololo on Thursday afternoon to advertise her next concert.
She further stated that not even Winnie Nwagi can compete with her because the Swangz Avenue vocalist is still a “young brand” in comparison to hers.
Cindy stated that none of the current crop of performers can compete with her, and that only Grace Nakimera could reach her level due to the intensity of her performances.
“Grace Nakimera is someone I miss. I miss her because she was a talented singer and performer. She could put on a terrific show and perform live. She had a tremendous and fantastic manner of performing with just the drums and her vocals. I’m missing her. There has never been anyone since who has been able to truly level up.” Sanyu, Cindy
Cindy is revved up for her ‘Comeback’ concert, which she claims she has scheduled for September 15th at Kololo Independence Grounds, where her enemy Sheebah has also scheduled her ‘Yolo’ Festival on the same date.
